This Seattle article indicates that men, long believers in the handshake, are coming to grips
It’s not just for the French - it’s becoming more and more commonplace.
Dr. Mark Morman, my fraternity sponsor, is one of the researchers mentioned in the article.
It is noted that the male hug is often accompanied by other gestures that are distinctly non-homosexual in nature - one of the more prominent being the backslap. I smiled when I read this as my friends - especially in BYX often referred to this as the “I’m not gay” slap.
