added a few more plugins

First off is a plugin called fixback that fixes some sort of permalink ping/trackback issue when saving posts as drafts… yeah… I just installed it and didn’t ask questions.

Second is a neat little plugin called Search Meter. This thing keeps track of all searches made and lets me look at them in the admin interface. Yay.

Since I changed the site around to reflect the inclusion of multiple authors, I needed to be able to run some PHP in my posts, so I grabbed this great plugin that does so.

Also because of the multiple authors, I needed a new plugin to get specific user info. Highly recommend this for anyone using multiple authors and needing to display info on a staff page of some sort.

Next up is another Guff plugin, Category Visibility. I grabbed this so I could post announcements like this one, but not have them show up on the front page.

Oooh, an exciting one. I replaced two previous image thingees with an all-in-one Wordpress/Coppermine integration plugin. This thing rocks; it’s what I wanted originally but couldn’t find.

To further my efforts as a control freak, I downloaded a neat little thing that lets me control an individual post’s formatting. I’m not sure that I’ll have much use for Text Control beyond the simple javascript I’m attempting, but it’s there for now.

Add this one to the just in case category. Email Shroud is a plugin that autmotically javascripts an email address to prvent it from being harvested by spammers. I don’t use the simply mailto: personally, but this also protects in comments and whatnot, so if a reader does post this will hopefully protect them.

I finally decided to make a custom 404 page and used this plugin. I did have to do some serious hacking however, so I’m not sure it’s really ready for release. Since the author doesn’t have a comment/feedback section, I can’t tell him that.

Got a trackback from your site. What seems to be the issue?
