Final Fantasy X ported to NES

Yeah, you read that headline right. A group of… dedicated… Japanese modders have managed to recreate the vast majority of FFX on a NES ROM. Sphere grid, scenes, limit breaks - even blitzball.

A group of Japanese rom hackers recreated Final Fantasy X using the Final Fantasy 2j rom as a base. All of the graphics have been scaled down to 2D, but they still look impressive with the NES limited palette.

I must say that I am constantly amazed at the ingenuity and perseverance that game modders and fans can display. Who would have even thought of this - much less actually done it? It’s nuts. No, really. Nuts. Final Fantasy fan(boy)s are rabid, teeming monsters whom you do not want to be in the way of. Period.

In any case, if you can read the squiggles of the Japanese language, check out the official site. Even if you can’t, then go ahead an take a look at the scenes page.

I have been searching for the ROM for a very long time, but I cannot seem to find it. Does anyone out there know where I can find it?
