Mmm, another update. Well, I decided to hold off on this update until I hit the 15k word mark. Ideally, that would have been yesterday, but I didn’t write anything at all on Monday. Well, I wrote the 2nd chapter of my alternate writing project, but that doesn’t count at all for my writing total. :( And I had a headache for most of the day. Turns out that chunking out bad fiction when you have a headache is somewhat akin to throwing broken shards of glass at naked people: neither fun nor effective.

So, I’m 8 days in. I think that I might make it. Story flowed pretty well today, and hopefully I can keep it up. My chapters are getting lengthier (which is good, cause the first few were durn short), and I’m getting into the habit of throwing in more descriptions. The good news is that I won’t run out of plot before 50k words. The bad news is that this sucker is gonna be looooooong.

Anyway, I’ve set up the main conflict that’s going to occupy and grow the major characters for the first portion of the book. I like it. I think it will be fun. I wrote a rather harrowing chapter the other day, one that left me wondering if this is the sort of thing that I really ought to be writing about. It was even worse knowing that I’m going to have family (including a grandmother) read this. Oh well. Haven’t spoken with any of them, but my MS is getting passed around like that one girl in 10th grade. You know the one.

In other news, I found another graphic that shows the spurting nature of my updating. This one’s not on my server, so it may (probably) eventually die. Right now? I’m behind. I’m always behind. It’s much more fun that way.
Ooh, another graphic
