Warning: Heresy Ahead

So, who is this heretic guy, anyway?

Tyler recently asked me to come aboard, and I was pleased to join in the world domination that is tylerwillis.com. Tyler and I were fraternity brothers at Baylor, and roommates once upon a time. In fact, Tyler was my little brother in BYX–this seems to be a family thing here, along with Brad, aka zoocat.

I graduated from Baylor with a degree in religion, and spent some time at Baylor’s Truett Seminary, but, alas, we did not exactly see eye to eye, so I transferred to TCU’s Brite Divinity School, where I am currently a student.

Why “the heretic,” you ask? Well, for one thing, I belong to the United Church of Christ, the liberal mainline denomination that recently voted to endorse equal marriage rights for all, including same-sex couples. As a member of a Christian fraternity not known for its liberal tendencies, I became known as something of a heretic. As chaplain of said organization, the weekly devotionals that our fellow members heard were likely not always well received, but I like to think that I brought a perspective that would at least make people think about things they might not otherwise have considered. That, I suppose, it what I hope to do here. Push a few boundaries, maybe cause you to think and ask some questions.

Shalom,
Trent
