They say that revenge is a dish best served cold. Sweet, sweet revenge should be calculated. Planned. Meticulously thought out to bring the utmost ruination upon thine enemy.
They’ve obviously never played Burnout Revenge.

Sid Meier’s Pirates! Live the Life 1

Arrrh.
1. A loose approximation of what a stylized pirate might utter.
2. An onomatopoeic representation of the (somewhat) voice acting in Sid Meier’s Pirates! Live the Life.

X-Men Legends 2

A GRSO soldier looks up as the door he was guarding suddenly shatters into a million pieces. He draws his energy baton and screams, "You think you’re bad, mutie?" while charging the X-Men who are framed by sheets of billowing dust. His rather unfortunate charge is abruptly ended as Iceman freezes him into a solid block of ice, Cyclops shatters the ice with an optic beam, Wolverine lifts him high into the air with a vicious uppercut, and Jean Grey flings his limp, lifeless body across the room with a raw, telekinetic scream.

Fable 3

"Chicken chasing, that makes you a true hero." Such is the derisive contempt leveled at a yet unblooded hero by the townsfolk. By the end of the game, these same townsfolk will be referring to the hero as "worshipful avatar" - a far cry from the early days of chicken chasing.

The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age 1

LOTR:TTA is the story of Berethor, a Gondorian who helps Gandalf slay the Balrog,
slaughters the Nazgul, and is (almost) single-handedly responsible for poking
out the great eye of Sauron. Berethor? What, you’ve never heard of him? Well,
that is not surprising, since EA Games contrived him and his merry band (Fellowship
wannabees) without bothering to consult sources such as Tolkein’s books…
or the movies.

The Bard’s Tale 1

The best introduction for The Bard’s Tale game comes straight from the introduction
portion of the game manual: "[The Bard’s] tenure as a barrel maker came
to an abrupt end when his barrel mentor Henry, the proprietor of The Barrel
Barn, ran him out of town for producing barrels that shattered with a mere whack
of a sword. ‘A key won’t even be safe in these things!’ Henry screamed…"
Not exactly your typical RPG character history, but then again The Bard’s Tale
is not your typical RPG.
